ABOUT MEEEEEE!
Ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to create. Whether it was making up songs on my keyboard or redesigning my classmate’s shirt in permanent marker.
And by the time I graduated preschool and kindergarten it was a consensus among my teachers: I was a "firecracker".
Luckily for my teachers, I channeled that energy into more productive activities as I entered elementary school. I wrote stories about murder! Shockingly, this sparked several conversations between the school and my parents. This was the beginning of my writing career.

Over time my writing skills strengthened and I realized it was my forte. I was known as 'the writer' by my family and friends and it was something I enjoyed doing in and out of school.
Then there was high school. SATs, AP essays, and any other writing assignments with over-restrictive rules killed my joy for writing. You had to use certain words, write to a certain length, and in a certain way. All creativity and personality was drained from my writing, and I dreaded it for a while.
When I sat in front of my college advisor, I was ready to go down that same path of constrained writing with my pre-chosen major of journalism*. Luckily, my advisor suggested I give advertising a go instead.

And look at me now!

*All my respect to journalists, I just know I'd be miserable.

You know you want to.
